PREMIERE: Saint Abbé – Mars

Today we have the great pleasure of premiering the latest track from Saint Abbé, a group out of Sydney’s inner west. Recorded at The Brain recording studios in Surry Hills, ‘Mars’ began to take shape after ‘messing about with delay pedals.’ Initially a somewhat hip hop/funk inspired sound, the track was tweaked so that full focus could be brought to the swirling melodies.

A slow burn to begin with, each independent element – from the intricate guitar to the particularly well timed drums, comes together to drive the song forward. This is combined with interesting lyrical content, conveying a song about fearing sleep and feeling ‘that you’ll wake up and it’ll all be different.’
