The Hounds Homebound are back, and we’re bloody chuffed about that. The Melbourne, via Brisbane, via Yackandandah group have gone some time between releases – with the respective members moving about and travelling the world at various times over the last few years.
Their newest single, ‘Talking’ came to life while the band were holed up in a tiny, possum infested Brisbane house for 6 months putting together upcoming EP Too Dumb To Ask For Love.
A few words about the track by songwriter Vinny Russel:
Talking is a track about communication. I mean after a few thousand years you’d think the human race would nail it right? But yeah, that’s what this songs about: its pitfalls and whatnot. That sounds soppy. I suppose it might be. We feel musically it reflects our development from our strum out some chords and Bobs-your-uncle-lets-go-show-our-mates kind of days.
The Hounds Homebound are Vinny Russell, Lucy McKenzie McHarg, Brianna Cox, Jeffrey Burr, Ben Lefoe and Josh Holt.
