Today we’re delighted to share with you the second taste of The Peeks‘ upcoming album Grow Up/Grow Down – set for release on July 22nd. Inspired by a cold night in the elements aside Lake Wanaka in New Zealand, ‘Wanaka’ is a gentle, beautiful acoustic track. Carried through by the warm tones of vocalist Fraser Henry, the song transports you to another world.
A few words from fraser, hamish and sean:
‘Wanaka’ was the last song to be written for the album. It was basically written & recorded within 2 weeks, which we think was great! We didn’t overthink the composition, the guitar sounds or the extra elements. It’d have to be the most organic, natural song on the album.
