You may already be familiar with a past iteration of CBB. Well, welcome to our 'soft reboot' — it's the same characters, a modern makeover and slightly different storyline.

A quick Season 1 recap: there was tech outage, corrupted backup, years of data lost and an expensive, time consuming rebuild process. With other priorities at play, it just wasn't quite worth it. The site was retired and then eventually went offline.

This brings us to right here, right now. Season 2, if you will. A colourful collection of words, images and archives documenting the modern music scene. Having worn a number of hats over the last 10 years; the aim is to tap into all my weird bits of knowledge and random experiences to bring you a ‘diary’ of insights, musings, case studies, throwbacks and recommendations.

Casual Band Blogger is part music blog, advice column, gallery and archive. A brain dump all the niche, interesting and helpful information covering everything from metadata to music photography.

Tbh, it’s always been a bit of a hot mess. Some things never change.
